HMA Public Relations VP/General Manager Abbie S. Fink Named Chairman of PRSA’s Counselors Academy
The members of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Counselors Academy have elected Abbie S. Fink, vice president/general manager of HMA Public Relations, a full-service marketing communications firm in Phoenix, Ariz., as its chairman.
Counselors Academy is a national professional interest section of PRSA that facilitates peer-to-peer exchanges between senior-level agency executives regarding agency management. Focusing on professional development, ethical standards and agency practices, Counselors Academy programs foster networking, mentoring and peer support between principals and senior counselors of public relations firms.
As vice president/general manager at HMA Public Relations, Fink leads the firm’s management team with Scott Hanson, APR, Fellow PRSA, president of the firm. The agency is a staple firm within the industry. This year the firm celebrates its 35th year in business.
“As a longtime CAPRSA member, I am really excited to be working with a strong group of industry leaders who will help our section continue to maximize the learning experiences and support for our members,” said Fink. “Our focus this year is to strengthen our programming offerings and to continue to be a resource for best practices and shared knowledge amongst our members.”
The section’s marquee event is the PRSA 2015 Counselors Academy Spring Conference which will be May 3-5, 2015 in Laguna, California. Known for robust networking and learning opportunities, the Spring Conference enables collaborative peer relationships in which meaningful business counsel, operational best practices and industry trends can be shared and gained.
