Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Hosts Two Cause for Paws Pet Adoption Events
(Maricopa, Ariz.–April 8, 2024) The HERO Committee at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino is teaming up with the Valley Humane Society of Pinal County to host two pet adoption days. The events will provide an opportunity for guests to meet a variety of adorable dogs and cats, each one eagerly awaiting a loving family to take them home.
WHAT: Cause for Paws Pet Adoption Event
WHERE: Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino entrance
WHEN: Friday, April 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sat., April 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Experienced staff and volunteers will be on hand to assist with the adoption process and answer any questions.
The Cause for Paws Pet Adoption Event is an opportunity to find a loving pet but also a chance to support the local Valley Humane Society of Pinal County in its mission to save and improve the lives of animals in need. In addition to finding homes for the available pets, The Valley Humane Society is also in need of the following items, which may be dropped off and placed in the donation bins at the casino entrance during the event:
- Free & Clear laundry soap
- Bleach
- Chew toys for dogs (Nylabone) (NO Rawhide)
- Training treats
- Paper Towels
- Dawn Dish Soap
- Diamond Naturals Dog Food (Chicken and Rice or Lamb and Rice} Dry)
- Purina One Naturals Adult Cat Food (Dry)
- Cat toys
- Baskerville Muzzles (Sizes 1-4)
- Max and Neo Martingale collars (no metal)
- Extra Large or Giant Puppy Pads
HERO is a team member-based volunteer program in which Harrah’s staff and their families make noteworthy and visible contributions to the community by donating their time, skills, expertise, and compassion to dozens of volunteer projects throughout the community.
