Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Hosts Food Drive for Maricopa Pantry

(MARICOPA, Ariz. – May 18, 2022) After a fire destroyed more than 50,000 pounds of food at the local Maricopa Pantry, the HERO Committee at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino hosted a food drive to help replenish what was lost during the March 28 fire. Team members collected 1,247 pounds of food from April 2 to April 17.

“Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino is dedicated to supporting the Maricopa community,” said HERO Committee Chair Barbara Achten. “When the fire happened, we knew we needed to do something to help. I’m proud to say that our team members were happy to get on board and help us restock the shelves.”
