Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Guests Donate More Than $27,000 to Local Maricopa Charities Through NRT Machine Donations

(MARICOPA, Ariz. – June 7, 2023) Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino continues to foster a culture of giving back to the community. The latest effort, offering guests an option to donate their change via the NRT machines at cash out, raised more than $27,000 for local Maricopa charities in the first six months of the program.

“We’ve built a culture that celebrates community involvement and giving back,” said HERO Committee Chair Barbara Achten. “When people become a part of Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino, whether they join the team or are a guest, we like to highlight opportunities for them to support the community. Our new NRT program makes it easy for guests to make a big impact. And it only takes a little bit of change.”

Since the slot donation program began in October 2022, the program has raised more than $27,000 for the Against Abuse, Caesars Cares Lifeboat, Inc., Meals on Wheels and F.O.R. Maricopa charities.

Added Achten, “We’ve provided an opportunity for guests to give back in a meaningful way. These donations amount to $0.99 or less so the fact that we raised enough money to make a measurable impact on the community is amazing.”
