Free Tucson Medicare Education Events Offered September 18

(TUCSON, Ariz. – Sept. 16, 2019) – In honor of Tucson Medicare Education Week, which takes place Sept 15-21 as proclaimed by Mayor Rothschild and is in line with National Medicare Education Week, UnitedHealthcare is hosting three free educational events to help equip seniors, Medicare beneficiaries, their families and caregivers with the knowledge they need to make informed, confident decisions about their Medicare coverage.

The community events will take place at the UnitedHealthcare MedicareStore, which is located at 4811 E. Grant Road, #119 in Tucson, on Wednesday, Sept. 18. There are free programs offered at 9 a.m., 12 p.m. and 3 p.m.

More 234,000 Tucson residents are currently eligible for Medicare – yet many older adults say they do not understand how Medicare works. This program is designed to help eligible adults and their families navigate all things Medicare – from learning more about initial enrollment to understanding the different parts of Medicare and what each part covers. Tucson Medicare Education week is also a timely reminder for the upcoming Medicare Annual Enrollment Period, which takes place exactly one month later from Oct. 15 – Dec. 7.
