Families Giving Back to Organize Heat Relief Pack Assembly Event at St. Vincent de Paul

WHAT: Families Giving Back, a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring and helping families with kids of all ages volunteer together is looking for family volunteers to help assemble heat relief packs for the homeless in the Valley. With the weather starting to heat up, many homeless will be at risk of dehydration and severe sun exposure. The event will take place at St. Vincent de Paul, 420 W. Watkins Road in Phoenix.

Once the heat packs have been assembled, families are welcome to stay to participate in Hearts & Hands Day hosted by St. Vincent de Paul. There will be a variety of activities such as filling hygiene bottles with soap and shampoo, decorating dining rooms, making table centerpieces and much more.

COST: Families Giving Back will be providing all of the supplies needed for the heat relief packs. In order to assemble and donate as many heat relief bags as possible, we are asking for a participation fee of $5 per person to help cover some of the costs, and 100 percent of the fee will go toward the purchase of all the heat relief supplies.
