Families Giving Back “Spooktacular” Volunteers Crafted Halloween Projects for Patients at Phoenix Children’s Hospital

(PHOENIX, Oct. 22, 2015)- Families Giving Back, a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring and helping families with kids of all ages volunteer together, hosted a family volunteer event for Phoenix Children’s Hospital.  The family volunteers assembled more than 550 Halloween craft project bags and activity packs, decorated more than 250 pumpkins and put together wagons to be given to the patients at Phoenix Children’s Hospital at Halloween.

“While Halloween is usually a holiday favorite for kids, to the children in the hospital, it can feel more scary than fun,” said Alexandra Sklar, co-founder and president at Families Giving Back. “Making craft projects bags and decorating the pumpkins was a great way for our families to bring a little excitement for a holiday spent in the hospital.”
