DrugFreeAZKids.org to host “Where Do Kids Get Drugs?” Webinar

WHAT:          Many parents worry about their kids and teens being exposed to drugs.  According to the Arizona Youth Survey, kids are getting their hands on drugs from various sources including schools, parties and at home. The place where they are likely to get them depends on the kid’s age, what part of the state they are located and the type of substance. This webinar will look at these variables as well as how to reduce the likelihood of kids abusing drugs and alcohol.

DrugFreeAZKids.org is the leading source of information about preventing youth substance abuse. One key way of prevention is to talk early and often about the dangers of substance abuse with your children. Kids can begin to hear messages about making healthy choices as early as preschool. This is especially important since the average age of first time drug use in Arizona is 13 years old. By participating in this webinar, we will help you prepare for such discussions.
