DrugFreeAZKids.org and Banner Poison and Drug Information Center to host “E-Cigarettes and Nicotine: The Rising Numbers & The Risks” Webinar

WHAT: Teens’ use of electronic cigarettes is a growing concern among parents.

While teen smoking rates continue to fall, use of e-cigarettes is on the rise. According to the 2014 Monitoring the Future study, 17% of high school seniors reported using e-cigarettes, while 14% reported use of a tobacco cigarette. There are clear harms associated with nicotine and nicotine poisonings are rising across the state.

Join us, along with the Banner Poison and Drug Information Center, on Wednesday, June 24 from noon to 12:30 p.m. for a free webinar to explore the risks of e-cigarettes and ways to communicate these dangers to kids.

One key way of prevention is to talk early and often about the dangers of substance abuse with your children. Kids can begin to hear messages about making healthy choices as early as preschool.
