(PHOENIX – October 1, 2019) - Esperança, a Phoenix-based nonprofit whose mission is to improve health and restore hope both locally and globally, has elected David Newstone to its Board of Directors.
Newstone is a Phoenix-based public interest attorney devoted to increasing access to justice for low-income and underserved Arizonans through public legal education, civil litigation, and legislative and administrative agency advocacy. He will bring his passion and expertise in human rights law and policy to the board.
He holds graduate degrees in law and political science from McGill University, the University of California, Santa Cruz and the University of Chicago.

Since 1970, Esperança, an Arizona-based global health nonprofit organization, has been transforming lives on a local and global level. Its Phoenix-based program is uniquely positioned as the leader in providing health education and resources to Maricopa County’s most at-risk and under-served youth, adults, and seniors through programs such as oral health, chronic disease prevention and management, nutrition, and parent ambassador training.
