Arizona Association for Economic Development to Host Career Enriching Course
(PHOENIX – Feb. 5, 2021) – The Arizona Basic Economic Development Course (BEDC), hosted by the Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED), will take place virtually Feb. 16-26.
BEDC is accredited by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and counts as a prerequisite to IEDC courses. This course is fundamental for economic development practitioners, chamber executives, elected local government officials, real estate professionals and others interested in community job creation.

- Marketing and Attraction in Economic Development
- Site Selection Today
- Business Retention and Expansion
- Community and Neighborhood Development
- Real Estate Development and Reuse
- Entrepreneurship
- Ethics in Economic Development
“We thrilled to host the BEDC for the Arizona business community,” said Carrie Kelly, AAED’s executive director. “Many of the instructors are CEcDs and AZED Pros that volunteer their time to provide this valuable professional development experience.”
In addition to the course, attendees will also receive access to AAED’s virtual training modules on tourism, business retention, workforce development and more.
The course will begin at 9 a.m. and ends at varying times each day. To receive course credit, attendees must attend 80% of the lectures.
