Arizona Association for Economic Development Presents 2020 Golden Prospector Awards

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

(PHOENIX – Nov. 12, 2020) – The Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED) has presented six Golden Prospector Awards and 10 Awards of Merit recognizing excellence, innovation, and creativity in economic development at its recent 2020 Fall Forum, held virtually the last week in October.

Two of the awards were presented to the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce for its multimedia promotion, “Build Your Future Arizona – Construct Your Future” and a marketing brochure for “Build Your Future Arizona – Investor Toolkit.”

The City of Surprise was awarded a Golden Prospector for Deal of the Year for the Ottawa University new campus development.

The City of Page was awarded a Golden Prospector for its new Visit Page and Lake Powell website and the City of Mesa won for multimedia promotion for “Creating a Brand: Asian District, Mesa.”

The Arizona Regional Economic Development Foundation won a Golden Prospector for its special event, Import & Export for Small Businesses.

“The Golden Prospector Awards were established by AAED to encourage and recognize excellence in economic development,” said Carrie Kelly, AAED’s executive director.  “The creativity and innovation demonstrated by this year’s winners is a testament to the strength of economic development in the State of Arizona.”
