Are You Vaccinated? and Other Business Protocols

As more and more of us are vaccinated and getting out and about a bit more, business functions and networking events are starting to re-populate my calendar.  I do find that I’m a bit hesitant to shake hands when meeting someone.  Now as I approach someone to say “hello, how are you,” I feel the need to also share my vaccination status before extending my hand.

There is the awkward moment where you have to decide if a fist bump might be better than a handshake.

I’m also now seeing various email communications popping up in the inbox and insert cards in printed invitations with specific information about what to expect if you plan to attend the event in-person.  Many are still offering virtual options, most are only filling the room to 50% capacity.  Almost all are requiring masks, proof of vaccination and/or a negative COVID test.

We’ve talked a lot about the new normal.  Sounds like we’ll be adding this to the growing list of things we need to think about.
