Farewell Friday – Maddie Norris
It’s hard to believe I’ve already spent four entire months as an intern with the HMA team! For my last blog, I thought I would share a few of the main things I learned throughout my time here:
- The PR world is fast paced. Maybe not in the middle of summer, but once busy season comes around, an agenda and to-do list will become your two best friends!
- There’s lots of room for creativity. I was given many opportunities at HMA to design graphics and write about topics that interest me, which are two of my favorite ways to express my creative side.
- The best way to learn is by doing. HMA gave me the opportunity to do real work for clients such as writing social media posts, press releases, memos, bylines and SO much more. I would not have learned so much about public relations in my time here if it weren’t for the tasks they trusted me with researching and executing independently.
Thank you again to the entire HMA Team! I am so thankful to each and every one of you for sharing your knowledge and allowing me to learn and grow in this environment over the last four months.
