The 3rd Annual Chicano Pride Ride Arizona to Benefit Advance Community’s Mission to Support Under-Resourced Latino Communities

(GOODYEAR, Ariz.–August 22, 2023)– Funds raised from the 3rd Annual Chicano Pride Ride Arizona on Oct. 21 at RoadRunner Harley-Davidson in Goodyear will benefit Advance Community’s mission to strengthen optimal health in under-resourced communities across the Valley and around the world. As a provider of health education, disease prevention, and nutrition programs and resources to under-resourced Latino communities in Arizona, the Phoenix-based nonprofit is participating in the Chicano Pride Ride Arizona in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

“Advance is strengthening Latino communities in Arizona and changing lives around the world,” says Debbie Ortega, a Chicano Pride Ride Arizona organizer. “Our team felt Advance’s vision of health equity for everyone aligned with our mission to provide resources and support to underserved communities and individuals.”

The Chicano Pride Ride was founded in 2010 in Denver on the guiding principle of giving back to the community and to educate the younger generation about Latino culture and heritage.

“At Advance, we believe in a world where every person is thriving,” says Jeri Royce, President and CEO of Advance. “Through programs focused on disease prevention, education, and treatment, we help bring optimal health to under-resourced communities. We are thrilled to be selected by the Chicano Pride Ride Arizona as the recipient of the funds raised from this year’s event.”

The Chicano Pride Ride is a fun-filled motorcycle poker run with various stops throughout the Valley. Kickstands go up at 10 a.m. sharp at RoadRunner Harley-Davidson at 1402 N 159th Ave, Goodyear, AZ 85395 on Saturday, Oct. 21.  Registration check-in for all riders begins at 8 a.m. on-site.

Activities throughout the day include food, live entertainment from traditional and contemporary Chicano dance performers, live music, and an array of food trucks and merchandise booths.

Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams as well as a chance to win a $200 or $300 gift card.
