REDW Welcomes Brett Harman, CPA as Senior Manager
(Albuquerque, N.M. – January 22, 2024) — REDW Advisors and CPAs, one of the Southwest’s 10 largest advisory and CPA firms, also recognized among INSIDE Public Accounting’s Top 200 Accounting Firms, is pleased to welcome Brett Harman, CPA as a senior manager in the firm’s Audit & Assurance (A&A) practice group. In his role, Harman will supervise teams in performing financial reporting audits and assurance services, partner with and advise clients to help grow and expand their businesses, create cost saving strategies for clients, and mentor REDW team members. He will be based in the firm’s Albuquerque office while advising clients nationwide on the growth of their businesses.
Harman brings more than 12 years of public accounting experience to the role, most recently as senior manager at CohnReznick LLP where he performed audit and assurance services for clients in a variety of industries, including affordable housing, real estate investment, and not-for-profit entities. Harman spent a dozen years at the firm, initially working in its Washington, D.C. area office before settling in Albuquerque in 2017 and working remotely for the past six years. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, from Elon University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
“After working fully remote and traveling frequently, I was ready for an opportunity with a growing firm with roots in my chosen home of Albuquerque,” said Harman. “After many discussions with REDW leaders and learning about the positive and supportive culture the firm has built, as well as its responsible growth strategy, I knew this was the right move for me. I am looking forward to partnering with clients who are seeking to strengthen their businesses, local economies, and places that we all call home.”
Within the community, Harman is a board member with Casa Q, the only residential and transitional living facility serving LGBTQ youth in New Mexico who are at risk of experiencing homelessness. The program is supported by Bernalillo County’s Behavioral Health Initiative and helps teens ages 14 to 17 by providing safe housing options and services.
