REDW Promotes Victor Flores to Principal, Affirming Commitment to Oklahoma Tribal Nations

(Oklahoma City, Okla. – September 6, 2022)  REDW LLC, recognized among INSIDE Public Accounting’s Top 200 Accounting Firms and a national leader serving Native American communities and tribal enterprises, announced today that Victor Flores has been promoted to principal in the firm’s fast-growing Oklahoma City office.

In his role, Flores, who previously served as REDW Director of Tribal Services in Oklahoma, will continue to lead the firm’s service to the 38 federally recognized Tribal Nations in the state and continued focus on business offerings and support to Indian Country. Flores has been with REDW since it opened its Oklahoma office in 2020, focusing his entire practice on serving the unique needs of Tribal Nations and their diverse enterprises in the region.

“I am honored to be promoted to principal only two years after I joined REDW,” said Victor Flores. “It further confirms my initial decision to join a leading firm that shares my vision, strong commitment and passion to serve Tribal Nations in Oklahoma and all across the United States.”

“REDW is proud to have continued support in Oklahoma and another financial professional advocating for Tribal Nations like we have for more than 40 years,” said Wesley Benally, REDW National Tribal Practice Leader and enrolled member of the Navajo Nation. “Thanks to Victor and the Oklahoma team, our local office has significantly strengthened our commitment to Indian Country—one we will continue to deepen as we expand our presence and advisory services under Victor’s leadership.”

In addition to his work with REDW, in 2017, Flores collaborated with the Native American Financial Officers Association (NAFOA) to create the Oklahoma Tribal Finance Consortium (OTFC), and today serves as its president. The OTFC is a non-profit organization that brings together tribal finance and economic leaders from all the federally recognized Tribal Nations headquartered in Oklahoma and is responsible for facilitating the Oklahoma Native Impact Report, which measures the economic impact Tribal Nations bring to their home state.

Working in Indian Country for over 18 years, Flores served in several impactful leadership roles before landing at REDW and is a member of NAFOA, American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Healthcare Finance Management Association (HFMA), and Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). Flores was instrumental in bringing together Oklahoma Tribal Nations and major tribal organizations to amplify positive impacts to Indian Country, including Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association, Southern Plains Tribal Health Board, American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Oklahoma, United for Oklahoma, and the OTFC.

Flores earned a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration and Health Finance from Trinity University in San Antonio, a master’s degree in Business Administration and Financial Management from Oklahoma Christian University.
