Mexican Norteño Band Los Tigres Del Norte to Take the Stage at The Events Center at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino
(MARICOPA, Ariz. – July 7, 2021) – The seven-time Grammy award-winning band Los Tigres Del Norte will be bringing their decades of hits to The Events Center at Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino on Friday, Sept. 17.
Known as the most influential regional Mexican group, Los Tigres Del Norte has achieved worldwide success as the leading musical storytellers for Latin immigrants. With their polka and norteño roots, they will captivate the audience with such hits as “El Circo,” “Mi Sangre Prisionera” and “La Granja.”
In recent months, the band gained recognition for encouraging Latino residents to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Their Netflix documentary, “Los Tigres Del Norte at Folsom Prison,” exposes the injustices against incarcerated Latinos and is also a nod to musical legend Johnny Cash, who performed at the prison 50 years earlier.
After more than 50 years, the band continues making music to share the true stories of current events and social injustices in the Latino community. They plan on releasing new music soon and are currently recording their next studio album.
All Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino guests will be required to have their temperatures checked and wear a mask at all times, except when eating or drinking.
