LeAnn Carrillo Joins One Step Beyond as Director of California Programs and Services
(SAN MATEO and SAN CARLOS, Calif. – Sept. 10, 2020) – One Step Beyond, Inc. (OSBI), the leading provider of innovative education programs for intellectually disabled adults in Phoenix, Ariz., San Mateo and San Carlos, Calif., today announced that LeAnn Carrillo is joining the team as director of California Programs and Services. As director, Carrillo will support and share the vision of OSBI and provide leadership and professional guidance to all program staff.
Carrillo will oversee and lead the development and ongoing management and daily operations of all California programs and services. Responsibilities will include leadership, mentorship, and evaluation of California Program Management, as well as supporting management to set standards for professional conduct and evaluation of all staff. She will be also responsible to lead efforts to address needs, interests, aptitudes, and IPP Goals and Objectives of all individuals participating in One Step Beyond programs. This includes curriculum development and delivery, development of community partners, ongoing and effective communication with parents/guardians and all program stakeholders, as well as all other means to advance program goals achievement, responsiveness to participants, and continuous improvement.
Prior to joining OSBI, Carrillo was a senior program director for YMCA where she oversaw the creation of volunteer and leaderships programs. She was responsible for program management and staff development for more than 30 workers. During her time at YMCA, she took multicultural trainings to enrich her leadership style.

Carrillo graduated from San Jose State University with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in adapted physical activity.
