Jewish Family & Children’s Service Receives National Accreditation

(PHOENIX, Ariz.–April 17, 2023)—Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JFCS) has received a national accreditation from the Council on Accreditation (COA), an international nonprofit organization that accredits human and social service providers in best practices for child welfare, behavioral health and community-based human and social service providers.

The COA accreditation indicates the programs at JFCS are designed and delivered in a way that provides the highest level of quality care and excellence.

“We strive to incorporate the COA standards into the fabric of what we do every day,” said JFCS Vice President of Compliance and Quality Management Megan Lipman. “Our continuous review and application of the standards keep us focused on quality care to clients, creating a supportive environment for staff and maintaining efficient operations.”

The process for accreditation includes an in-depth review of the organization, comparing the organization and its programs against industry-wide standards of best practice, as well as an on-site visit to verify proper implementation of said standards.

An endorsement from COA is a testament that JFCS is a highly respected organization and among those that provide the upmost quality of services in its field. JFCS is among 1,600 organizations throughout the United States and Canada who have received the accreditation since the COA’s founding in 1977.

Added Lipman, “We devote a tremendous amount of time gathering and preparing our evidence to showcase adherence to the standards. We also involve staff and clients to truly make the assessment process all inclusive. We could not have achieved such success without the hard work and contributions of our staff, board, clients and donors.”
