Integrated Healthcare Now Offered at the JFCS Glendale Healthcare Center
(GLENDALE, Ariz. – April 25, 2018) – Thanks to a generous contribution from Thunderbird Charities, Jewish Family & Children’s Service Glendale Healthcare Center now offers fully integrated care to the Northwest Valley.
Located at 5701 W. Talavi Blvd. in Glendale, the center now offers primary care in addition to its behavioral health services, bringing a much-needed integrated healthcare facility to the West Valley.
“We are so appreciative to Thunderbird Charities for their generous donation,” said Mary Jo Whitfield, vice president of behavioral health at JFCS. “With their help, we are now able to provide fully integrated care to our patients — taking care of both their behavioral and physical health needs.”
This integrated healthcare program allows patients to be treated by a collaborative team of therapists, clinicians, case managers, medical doctors, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals.
The coordinated care efforts of a multidisciplinary team means that every aspect of the client’s well-being can be managed in one convenient location.
“With the new addition of the primary care wing at JFCS Glendale Healthcare Center, we now work in a dynamic environment that allows us access to both what is going on mentally and physically with each of our patients,” said Nikolina Elez, family nurse practitioner at the JFCS Glendale Healthcare Center. “This integrated healthcare approach is so important because it enables us as providers to focus on the whole health of our patients and tailor our method of treatment for each person.
The new primary care wing is comprised of three examination rooms and one procedure room for minor procedures.
Medical services offered include:
- Physical examinations for children and adults
- Diagnosis and treatment for common diseases
- Immunizations
- Annual check ups
- Flu shots
- Sports physicals
- Bloodwork
