Harrah’s Ak-Chin Team Members Incorporate Fun into Giving

(Maricopa, Ariz. – Dec. 9, 2024) Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino hosted its inaugural Can-struction food drive on Nov. 22, collecting over 1,000 pounds of food donations to benefit F.O.R. Maricopa. The creative and collaborative event brought together teams from various departments to construct imaginative structures using canned goods.

“We had an incredible time coming together as a team,” said Database and Advertising Manager Melissa Rowberry of Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino. “This event was not only fun but also an opportunity to learn, strengthen bonds with our colleagues, and make a meaningful difference for those in need. We’re thrilled with the turnout and look forward to making this an annual tradition.”

The Can-struction event showcased the casino’s commitment to community engagement and support for local organizations, reflecting the team’s dedication to giving back in a creative and impactful way.

Long-known for its corporate giving and community support, Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino team members also supported the Maricopa Veterans Day parade. The culinary team prepared 330 box lunches that SALUTE team members served to Veterans who attended the Maricopa Veterans Day parade.
