Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino’s CodeGreen Clothing Drive To Support Local Nonprofit Against Abuse
(MARICOPA, Ariz. – April 17, 2017) – Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino was proud to have collected 3,503 clothing items and shoes which totaled 1,908 pounds, that were donated to local nonprofit, Against Abuse, during the casino’s CodeGreen Clothing Recycle Drive, which took place on Wednesday, April 12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Against Abuse, Inc. is nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and the community to understand the nature and effects of family violence and the resources available to meet the needs of those abused.
CodeGreen was initiated by Caesars Entertainment in 2008 and is an organization-wide strategy to drive environmental awareness and engagement, as well as performance across the business. Each Caesars’ location creates a plan targeting the goals they wish to achieve throughout the year, which comes to a head during the month of April.

In addition to the clothing drive, Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino recently participated in Earth Hour, held a plastic bag drive, a paper shredding event and is currently gearing up for an Earth Day event on April 21.
