Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Unveils Campaign for the Cause
SuperHERO Battle for the Cause Fashion Show and Other Planned Campaign Activities Raise Awareness and Funds for Women’s and Men’s Health Issues
(MARICOPA, Ariz. – Oct. 9, 2018)– Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino, part of Caesars Entertainment and the state’s only tribal casino to have an international management partner, is once again coming together for its annual Campaign for the Cause in an effort to raise awareness and funds for women’s and men’s health issues.
Harrah’s Ak-Chin employees will participate and compete in a variety of events throughout the month of October including the popular SuperHERO Battle for the Cause fashion show scheduled from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, October 20. The fashion show, which is free and open to the public, pits Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino and UltraStar employee teams against one another and presents awards for best bra and boxer short costume designs.
The Campaign for the Cause Superhero parade is scheduled for Friday, October 19 at 2 p.m. The event will feature Harrah’s Ak-Chin employees, dressed up as SuperHeroes, parading throughout the casino.
Caesars Entertainment properties throughout the United States compete with their own individual Campaign for the Cause activities and events to raise money for their local American Cancer Society chapters. At the conclusion of the campaign, Caesars Foundation will award a total of $25,000 to the local American Cancer Society chapters in recognition of the efforts of each of the top three participating properties.

- Mobile Onsite Mammography (Oct. 5)
- Breast Cancer Prevention Seminar (Oct. 15)
- Penny War Competition (Oct. 21-26)
- Bake sale (Oct. 24)
- Employee team will participate in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Tempe Beach Park (Oct. 27)
- Rainbow Donation Wall honors those touched by cancer with employee-shared, written testaments (Oct. 31)
Guests can participate in the cause by purchasing an “I Joined the Fight Against Cancer” t-shirt for $15 in the Casino gift shop.
