CHASSE Building Team Leader Kim Murphy Named President of Southwest Chapter of CJE
(TEMPE, Ariz. – Feb. 4, 2025) – CHASSE Building Team, a 100% employee-owned general contractor overseeing more than $600 million in Arizona construction projects annually, is pleased to announce that its business development lead, Kim Murphy, has been named the 2025 president of the Southwest Chapter of the Center for Job Order Contracting Excellence (CJE), which is the designated organization for Job Order Contracting standards, education, and professional credentials.
Job Order Contracting – or JOC – is a project delivery method that allows organizations to efficiently complete multiple commonly encountered construction projects through multi-year contracts. It is widely used for clearing deferred maintenance backlogs, addressing recurring project needs, and executing renovation projects.
Within CHASSE, Murphy leads business development for the contractor’s rapidly expanding JOC division. As a direct result of her experience and work in this area, CHASSE has earned JOC projects with the City of Chandler, City of Phoenix, City of Peoria, Arizona State University, and many more. She also leads business development within CHASSE’s municipal and special projects division, including tribal projects.
Beyond her work at CHASSE and leadership as president of the Southwest CJE, Murphy also serves as the programs committee chair of the Arizona American Public Works Association (APWA) and sits on the vendor committee for the Arizona Parks and Recreation Association. She is also actively involved in the Arizona Airport Association, Arizona Association of School Business Officials, Phoenix Aero Club, Tempe Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Council, American Indian Chamber of Commerce, and Construction in Indian Country program through Arizona State University. A passionate advocate for education and mentorship, she also sits on the Town of Queen Creek’s Education Committee.
Murphy is also active with CHASSE Building Team’s philanthropic arm, which donates – on average – 4,000 volunteer hours each year and recently surpassed $4.5 million in community donations and fundraising. She spearheads CHASSE’s volunteer efforts for the City of Chandler Family Bike Ride, an annual event promoting health and outdoor activity. For more information, visit www.chasse.us.
