10% of Cartel Coffee Give Back Blend Sales from February through April 2025 Will Support Programming and Services for One Step Beyond Participants

PHOENIX – Feb. 19, 2025 – One Step Beyond, Inc. (OSBI), a leading provider of comprehensive programs and services for adults with intellectual disabilities, is proud to announce a new partnership with Cartel Roasting Co (Cartel) to raise funds for OSBI’s programming and services. From February through April 2025, 10% of sales from Cartel’s Give Back Blend coffee will directly support OSBI initiatives aimed at fostering independence, self-sufficiency, and community participation for adults with intellectual disabilities.

The Give Back Program was created to support and uplift meaningful causes in the communities where Cartel operates. With 13 retail locations in Phoenix, Tucson and Palm Springs, Cartel recognizes the importance of giving back to the local communities that have supported its growth. Each quarter, the company partners with a nonprofit organization to highlight and contribute to the vital work being done in the areas it serves.

 Supporting a Meaningful Cause

Funds raised through this partnership will directly support several strategic OSBI programs, including:

• Culinary Training Programs – Hands-on training in a commercial kitchen that teaches customer service, healthy dietary planning, food preparation, and sanitation skills, equipping participants with the knowledge needed for employment in the food industry.
• Life Skills Programs – Designed to enhance independent living skills, including money management, functional literacy, social skills, and safe community access.
• Employment Programs – Providing training and volunteer opportunities that lead to competitive or supported employment. OSBI covers roundtrip transportation costs for both the participant and their job coach to ensure success in the workplace.
• Recreation and Fine Arts Programs – Offering music, art, dance, and fitness activities that emphasize personal wellness. OSBI has a formal partnership with Special Olympics, with over 300 athletes participating in year-round training and tournaments. OSBI is also home to the One Step Coyotes, the first and only special needs hockey team in a campus-based day training program.
