Carrington College’s Reno Campus Hires Shane Reeder as Executive Director

(Reno, Nev., Nov. 6, 2015) Carrington College announced Shane Reeder as the new executive director at Carrington’s Reno campus, located at 5580 Kietzke Ln. In his role, he will be responsible for the successful operation of campus, including financial performance and implementing initiatives to increase student and staff satisfaction in the college’s programs and services.

Before joining the Carrington team, Reeder was president of Charter College in Washington. There, he lead the campus in strategic action and managed the daily operations of the campus. He also provided leadership as well as direction to multiple departments such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Success, Career Services and Education.

“I’m very pleased to be a part of the Carrington team here at the Reno campus,” said Reeder. “Leadership is such an important element in this role, and I’m happy to see that Carrington has a strong belief in having a good rapport within the community. I look forward to continuing to build upon that and encouraging others take the same initiative.”

Reeder has been working in education for more than 10 years. Prior to his start in education, Reeder practiced law. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Utah State University in 1985. Thereafter, he earned his doctorate of law degree from Willamette University, College of Law in Salem, OR in 1988. He proceeded in 2003 to earn his Masters of International Management degree from Portland State University.

Reeder is a Reno resident.
