Carrington College Attempting to Break Blood Pressure Check World Record; Tucson Campus Offers Free Blood Pressure Tests May 21

WHAT: In observance of National High Blood Pressure Education Month in May, Carrington College’s 18 campuses nationwide are attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the most blood pressure tests given on a single day.

Carrington College’s Tucson Campus encourages members of the community to come get their blood pressure taken for free by Medical Assisting program students. No appointments necessary.

To break the Guinness World Record, Carrington students will have to take more than 8,767 blood pressures nationwide in an eight-hour period. This current record was set by the Society of Students of Pharmacy in cooperation with the Scientific Circle of Young Doctors and Nursing Students in Poland in 2012. Carrington has set a goal to provide 8,888 blood pressure tests within eight hours.
