Arizona Association For Economic Development Announces Ben Warren Memorial Scholarship Winner

(PHOENIX – Oct. 30, 2015) The Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED) has announced David Carranza, economic development director for the City of South Tucson, as the winner of the 2016 AAED Ben Warren Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship, named in honor of Ben Warren who was one of AAED’s founding fathers, charter member and past president, provides full tuition for the Arizona Economic Development Course.

According to the selection committee, Carranza was chosen this year because of the benefits his community will gain as a result of his participation in the course.  The Basic Economic Development Course will provide Carranza with the skills necessary to carry forth an effective Economic Vitality Plan for a new Central Business District for the City of South Tucson.
