ACCEL Announces Promotion of Matthew LeVac to Director of Therapy
(PHOENIX – Nov. 30, 2021) – ACCEL, a nonprofit organization serving children and adults who have developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, behavior disorders and intellectual disabilities, has promoted Matthew LeVac to director of therapy.
LeVac joined ACCEL in 2015, previously serving as an occupational therapist for two years and a therapy supervisor for five years. During his time at ACCEL, LeVac has provided exceptional services to students and just recently helped ACCEL launch the new Makerspace, an adaptive therapy space for hands-on creating and learning with innovative fabrication technology like 3D printers, soldering stations, laser engravers and more.
In his new role, LeVac will oversee the entire therapy program, which includes occupational therapy, physical therapy, aquatic therapy, music therapy and low vision services on all ACCEL campuses ACCEL has plans to expand its services and provide therapy support services throughout the community in 2022.
“Matt has been a valued member of our therapy services team for the past six years,” said Gordon Comfort, chief operations officer at ACCEL. “In this new role, he will work closely with our therapy team to provide the therapy services that are so important to our students.”
