Abbie S. Fink Named Among State’s Top Public Relations Professionals by AZ Business Leaders
(PHOENIX – Jan. 14, 2022) – HMA Public Relations, a Phoenix-based full-service marketing communications agency, announces that its vice president and general manager Abbie S. Fink has been named among Arizona’s top public relations professionals in the 2022 edition of AZ Business Leaders, an annual coffee table book honoring the top business, civic and community leaders across the state. Fink was joined by colleagues from Aker Ink PR & Marketing, Noodle, Serendipit and Evolve PR & Marketing on the all-female list.

Fink has been a member of HMA Public Relations since 1993. Her varied marketing communications background includes skills in media relations, digital communications/social media strategies, special event management, community relations, issues management, crisis communications and marketing promotions for both the private and public sectors.
Committed to advancing the public relations profession, Fink has been active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) since 1986. She is a past president of the Phoenix Chapter of the PRSA and is a member and past board member of the PRSA’s Counselors Academy. She is a past chair of PRSA’s Western District.
An award-winning practitioner, she has received honors from PRSA, including the national Patrick Jackson Award for Distinguished Service to PRSA and the Phoenix Chapter’s highest honor, the Percy Award, for her commitment to the industry, the Arizona Festivals and Events Association, International Association of Business Communicators and the City of Phoenix Mayor’s Commission on Disability Affairs for her work in media relations, issues management and special event management.
She is a past board member for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale and Florence Crittenton Services of Arizona and was a founding board member of the Arizona Festivals and Events Association and served as its president for two years. She is a graduate and past president of Scottsdale Leadership Class XVII and is past member of the organization’s advisory board. In addition, Fink was the recipient of the Junior League’s Valley Impact Award, recognizing her volunteer efforts in the community. She was a finalist for the Golden Heart of Business Award, presented by Arizona Woman magazine, and the YWCA of Metropolitan Phoenix awarded her its Philanthropy Leader of the Year Award in February 2010. Scottsdale Leadership honored her in December 2010 with its Hodges Alumni Achievement Award, and she was named one of the top 25 businesswomen of the year in 2013 by the Phoenix Business Journal. In 2015, the Valley of the Sun 20-30 Club awarded her the first-ever Past Active Service Award for her ongoing commitment to the youth of the community. In 2016, she received an Amazing Women/Amazing Rewards recognition from the Phoenix Suns and National Bank of Arizona.
Fink has both a master’s degree in mass communications and a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism/public relations from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. She has been an adjunct faculty member at Arizona State University and Phoenix College and was a contributing writer to a marketing textbook currently in circulation at Grand Canyon University.
