3 Apps for PR Pros
During my daily Buzzfeed perusal yesterday, I came across a nifty article called 12 Apps That Every Business Owner Needs To Get Stuff Done. Although its target audience is business owners, I realized that many of the apps recommended in this article would be beneficial to PR pros as well!
Here are my top 3 favorites from the list:
- Boost productivity and keep track of your to-dos with Any.do. We all know that organizational skills are essential in the PR field, and we all have different ways of keeping track of our daily tasks. Any.do (which I’ve personally been using for a couple years now) is a single app which combines a calendar, reminders, task list, checklist, notepad, a daily planner, AND a day scheduler. You’ll never miss a deadline again.
- Never forget an idea with Evernote. Have you ever thought of an amazing idea for a campaign effort in the middle of the night, but can’t seem to recall it by the time you get back to your desk the next day? As PR pros, we are constantly generating new, innovative ideas to make sure our clients stand out in their industry. With Evernote, you can organize your personal and professional ideas, save things you find online, and the app will automatically sync everything between your phone, tablet, and computer automatically.
- Go paperless with Tiny Scanner. I don’t know about you, but we sure do go through a LOT of paper here at the HMA office! We are always looking for new ways to conserve (shout out to our Recycle Queen, Rachel!), which is just what Tiny Scanner does. This app turns your phone into a portable document scanner, so you can scan documents, photos, receipts, reports (basically anything), and save them to your device as images or PDFs! You can name organize, and share your scans directly from the app as well.
Let us know if any of these apps have ever helped you in your PR endeavors, I’m looking forward to trying some out this week!
