#MediaMonday – To Tell The Truth
Today’s #MediaMonday has a game show theme. The idea followed a random Google search of my own name.
Do you remember the TV show “To Tell The Truth?
”
It shouldn’t take Peggy Cass, Orson Bean or Kitty Carlisle to figure this one out.
“Hi, my name is Scott Hanson.”
“Hello, my name is Scott Hanson.”
“I am Scott Hanson.”
I am the Seattle Times’ golf writer, horse racing writer and horse racing handicapper, in addition to being a full-time desk editor. I also schedule the desk crew. I have been with the Times since 2002, after stints at both the Miami Herald and the Las Vegas Review Journal.
I am the host of the NFL RedZone channel. Produced by NFL Network, NFL RedZone whips around every NFL game on Sunday afternoons delivering the touchdowns and most exciting moments live and in high definition. Prior to my start with NFL Network, I spent two years with Comcast SportsNet in Philadelphia. I then moved to the Mid-Atlantic region where I served as lead anchor for the regional sports network for four years. My broadcasting experience also includes stops as an anchor and reporter for WFTS-TV (ABC) in Tampa, Fla.,WICS-TV (NBC) in Springfield, Ill., and WPBN-TV (NBC) in Traverse City, Mich.
I have appeared on every TV station in Phoenix. I am an occasional host for KAET-TV (PBS) during the station’s pledge drives. I spent nearly seven years as the weekend sports anchor/reporter for KPHO-TV (CBS), and have done freelance work for other news organizations, including KSAZ-TV (FOX) and KNXV-TV (ABC). I have also hosted Protecting The Public, an award-winning monthly news and information program for Phoenix Channel 11. Before that, I was the sports director at KNAZ-TV in Flagstaff for four years.
“Will the real Scott Hanson, please stand up!”
