#MediaMonday – The Tim and Willy Show Returns to Valley Airwaves with Broadcast Partner Skyview Networks
We have a long history with Tim and Willy. Scott knew Tim in college; I first met Tim when I was working for another agency and he did a live remote with me for one of my clients. Over the years we’ve worked with the team in Tucson and then back here on the airwaves at the Valley’s two country stations. They’ve been emcees at client events, clients of ours as we helped them market the Breakfast Show at Night and are all-around great guys.
Looking forward to hearing them on the air again…
And since today is the day their show debuted, we thought we’d send a little MediaMonday love their way.
Listeners all around Arizona woke up this morning to the lighthearted, award-winning radio show from Tim Hattrick, Willy D Loon and Andrea Hiland. Thanks to a partnership relationship with Skyview Networks, the trio can be heard on five stations around the state, including 94.1 KRDE, weekdays from 6-9 a.m. and via audio and video stream on www.timandwilly.com.
With Tim and Willy as talent and producers, the show aims to bring a local feel to its listeners, with more personality, country music and an entertaining cast of characters.
The trio has a long history as radio and television personalities across Arizona. In addition, their show has aided thousands of families and children through The Tim and Willy Kid’s FunDation, their 501(c)(3) charity.
The Tim and Willy Show will incorporate interesting people, local events and news from all of the Arizona markets, providing a true hometown feel for its stations.
What you may not know is Tim and Willy met at a dinner party at a mutual friend’s home in Mesa, in 1988. Tim had just worked with Glenn Beck on local Phoenix station Y95 and Willy was the notorious “Willy D Loon” from the Jonathan Brandmeier show on KZZP-FM. They became friends, golfing buddies and the rest, as they say, is history.
Their radio adventures have taken them from KRQQ in Tucson to KMLE-FM and KNIX-FM in Phoenix and even a stint in Chicago. They’ve won numerous awards including the Academy of Country Music’s Personalities of the Year, an Emmy and a spot in the Arizona Broadcasters Association’s Hall of Fame. Andrea Hiland joined the show in 1997. Her role has included reading the news and traffic, keeping TnW in line and updating listeners on the latest gossip and tabloid buzz.
