Pv Jantz Appointed as a Commissioner for the Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing

(Phoenix, August 9, 2016)  – Governor Doug Ducey has recently appointed Pv Jantz as a Commissioner to the board of the Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing (ACDHH). As a Commissioner and the Commission’s Deaf Representative, Jantz’s responsibilities include providing resources and expertise to ensure the interests of deaf and hard of hearing individuals in Arizona are met. In his role, he will also act as an advocate for the deaf and the hard of hearing, providing access to the best services across the state.

Jantz’s professional experience includes working as a rehabilitation counselor at the Arizona Rehabilitation Services Administration.  He received his Bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a Bachelor’s degree in sociology from Portland State University and a Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, with an emphasis on Deafness, from Western Oregon University.

“Pv has such a passion for his job and the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities and we are excited to welcome him to the Commission,” said Sherri Collins, executive director of ACDHH. “He believes in encouraging the deaf and the hard of hearing community to get involved and make their voices heard to make a difference.”

Jantz is a resident of Tempe.
