Arizona Gives Day Tally North of $1.34 Million; Fundraising Continues Through 11:59 p.m. Tonight
The Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits (Alliance) and Arizona Grantmakers Forum (AGF) are pleased to announce that as of 9:30 p.m., an estimated 13,000 people have donated $1,346,028 to nearly 1,000 nonprofits across the state through the Arizona Gives Day movement, bettering the 2013 grand total of $1,019,650 raised with more than two hours to go.
Presented by FirstBank, Arizona Gives Day is a 24-hour online initiative encouraging Arizonans to recognize and financially support the efforts of various nonprofits from all over the state. Arizonans can go online at www.azgives.org until 11:59 p.m. TONIGHT and pledge their financial support to the nonprofit of their choice.
Any 501(c) 3 tax-exempt organization in Arizona was eligible to participate in the program. FirstBank committed incentive funding, which will be shared with the nonprofits that meet certain milestones throughout the 24-hour period for such things as most donors in an hour, most donors overall, etc.
