Washington Federal’s Fountain Hills Team Connects with Neighbors through Community EXPO

(Fountain Hills, Ariz., Nov. 19, 2015) – On October 28, the team from Washington Federal’s Fountain Hills branch joined nearly 100 of its fellow local businesses at the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce’s 17th annual “Shop Fountain Hills, It’s Your Town” community EXPO. The EXPO, which took place at the Fountain Hills Community Center, was a fantastic opportunity for Washington Federal to connect with members of the local residential and business community in Fountain Hills. All members of the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce are invited to participate each year.

“We believe that the relationships we have with our local communities are as important as those we share with our customers, stockholders and employees,” said Sylvia Castillero, branch manager. “It is with this goal that the Washington Federal Foundation was founded at the national level – and our ‘Washington Federal Focus on Arizona’ community outreach program on the local level.”

Together, the Washington Federal Foundation and Washington Federal Focus on Arizona outreach programs work to fundraise for, volunteer with and facilitate direct giving to community-based nonprofits serving the needs of low and moderate-income individuals as well as support local business and civic endeavors that better the community as a whole.
