Let us Clear up the Confusion

WHAT: May is Better Hearing and Speech Month and there is no better time to clear up the confusion about Captioned Telephone Service (CTS).

The Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing (ACDHH), The Arizona Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program (AzTEDP) and Arizona Relay Service would like for everyone to have the opportunity to become familiar with this the CTS specialized equipment and service.

As a result, a free open house is available to the public to understand all there is to know about captioned telephones. Experts will be readily available to answer any questions about using captioned telephone and related applications as well as providing information on captioned telephone apps. In addition, representatives from all three captioned telephone providers, Caption call, Captel and Ensemble will be in attendance.

Captioned telephones are one tool to ensure hearing loss doesn’t prevent a person from being connected and at a volume comfortable for everyone. So, bring a friend to learn more on how it can help you.
