Pinal County And City Of Eloy Earn Golden Prospector Awards From AAED For Economic Development Efforts

(PRESCOTT, Ariz., Nov 5, 2019) – Pinal County and the city of Eloy have each  won a Golden Prospector Award from the Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED), recognizing excellence, innovation and creativity in economic development.

The county’s multimedia promotion, “Outdoor Activity Video,” and the city’s marketing brochure, “Intersection of Value, Location and Opportunity” were each tops in their respective categories.

The multimedia promotion category features a promotional piece,  series  of  promotional  pieces  or  promotional  campaign  that  contains  non-printed  elements.  This can include videos, mailed promotional items, etc.

The marketing brochure category features a marketing piece that introduces the state, county, community, region, or area of expertise to prospects for industrial, commercial, retail, or general development opportunities, or was designed for a specific purpose, such as promoting an industrial park or other specific types of promotions.

Overall, seven Golden Prospector Awards and eight Awards of Merit were presented at AAED’s fall forum in Prescott.

“The Golden Prospector Awards were established by AAED to encourage and recognize excellence in economic development,” said Joyce Grossman, AAED’s executive director.  “The creativity and innovation demonstrated by this year’s winners is a testament to how effective they are in their respective communities.”

AAED, founded in 1974, has a mission to serve as Arizona’s unified voice advocating for responsible economic development through an effective program of professional education, public policy, and collaboration.
