Families Giving Back has Appointed Rachel Brockway to Serve on its Board of Directors

Families Giving Back, a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring and helping families with kids of all ages volunteer together, is pleased to announce Rachel Brockway, senior account executive at HMA Public Relations, is joining its board of directors. In her role, Brockway will help further the mission of the nonprofit by providing expertise on public relations, digital communications and marketing outreach. In addition, she will work to expand the more than 600 current volunteers and 24 annual family events that were hosted last year.

Brockway’s experience includes strategic media relations, digital communications, online content management, promotional marketing and creative writing. Brockway is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and is currently volunteering with the PRSA Phoenix Chapter’s Copper Anvil committee. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Arizona State University and Grand Canyon University.

“We are excited to have Rachel serve on our board,” said Lisa Geyser, co-founder and vice-president at Families Giving Back. “Her varied experience in public relations and social media will to be invaluable to our nonprofit organization.”

Brockway holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Northeastern State University and a Masters of Business Administration in global management and leadership from Arizona State University. She has a true passion for giving back. She is a graduate of Scottsdale Leadership Class 23, serves as a board member with the Anne Rita Monahan Foundation for Ovarian Cancer, is a member of the Scottsdale Unified School District Capital Override Oversight Committee and is a volunteer soccer coach with her son’s NYS team.

An Arizona native and a Phoenix resident, Brockway enjoys spending time with her son, playing tennis, traveling, reading and social media.
