ElizaBeth Garcia Appointed to Board of Directors for the Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing

ElizaBeth Garcia was recently appointed as a Commissioner on the board for the Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing (ACDHH). As a Commissioner, she will serve as the hard of hearing representative, responsible for providing resources and expertise to ensure the interests of deaf and hard of hearing individuals in Arizona are met based on current conditions. In her role, she will also act as an advocate for the deaf and the hard of hearing, providing access to the best services across the state.

Garcia’s professional experience includes working in information management in higher education. She received her Master’s degree in education, critical & creative thinking from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

“ElizaBeth is very passionate about helping our community and has a vision of creating a better understanding of the needs of those is who deaf and hard of hearing,” said Sherri Collins, executive director of ACDHH. “As an individual with a hearing loss, her vision will help in the board’s future decisions to make the lives better for those who are deaf and hard of hearing.”

Garcia is a resident of Paradise Valley where she lives with her husband and is currently a stay-at-home-mom to her son.
