DrugFreeAZKids.org to host “Identifying and Responding to Youth Substance Abuse” Webinar

WHAT: What are the signs that a kid may be abusing drugs? How do you question or respond to drug use? These are questions that many parents and caregivers ask, but are often not prepared to handle. This is not surprising, especially considering new drugs that are emerging and advancing technology. We will not only provide tips on identifying drug use, but also how to respond when you think a child is using drugs.

DrugFreeAZKids.org is the leading source of information about preventing youth substance abuse. One key way of prevention is to talk early and often about the dangers of substance abuse with your children. Kids can begin to hear messages about making healthy choices as early as preschool. This is especially important since the average age of first time drug use in Arizona is 13 years old. By participating in this webinar, we will help you prepare for such discussions.
