Arizona Rattlers Announce Multi-Year Partnership with the Ak-Chin Indian Community

The Arizona Rattlers are pleased to announce a major multi-year partnership with the Ak-Chin Indian Community that includes naming rights on the Rattlers home field at US Airways Center.

“We are proud to partner with the Ak-Chin Indian Community,” said Rattlers majority owner Ron Shurts. “It is an honor to not only support this tribal community but to join our efforts to make a difference in the lives of others through our community initiatives.”

Highlighting the partnership is the renaming of the Rattlers home field to “Ak-Chin Indian Community Field.” The new logo will be featured midfield and measures 40-feet long. Governor Jan Brewer was on hand at Saturday’s news conference to help announce the Ak-Chin Indian Community and Arizona Rattlers’ commitment to supporting the Children’s Heart Gallery, an organization dedicated to using the work of photographers to help older children in foster care find adoptive parents. Ak-Chin Indian Community will be donating 150 tickets to the Children’s Heart Gallery for each game during the remainder of the 2014 season.

“We are looking forward to the possibilities this continued partnership with the Arizona Rattlers will bring to our Community,” said Ak-Chin Tribal Chairman Louis J. Manuel, Jr. “Our commitment to the community matches that of the Rattlers and we appreciate the multiple opportunities our children will be able to participate in over the next three years.”

The Rattlers will once again utilize its assets to serve the Ak-Chin Indian Community with an emphasis on supporting its youth and education.
