What most people know about the HMA crew is that they wear a lot of hats. While the thought of looking good while wearing hats (see #SMDayPhx photo) was tempting, and turned out to be pretty fun, it truly was their stellar team that lured me in.
Having been on both the in-house and agency sides of the public relations world, it’s refreshing to be part of such a close knit PR family like HMA. But why would you want to hear me brag? Here’s the real scoop and my first week impressions of my fellow HMA’ers:
Scott – the team Dad who defends NAU to the death and knows that there’s no better place for Mexican food than Tee Pee. Having attended NAU my first year of college (before seeing the light and becoming a UofA Wildcat for life), I have to give him the obligatory Go Jacks!
Abbie – the team Mom who’s a social media whiz, networking savant and the sweetest person you’ll ever meet (don’t let this distract you – she’s got a mean business sense, and I don’t doubt she’s not afraid to use it).
Alison – her know-how never ceases to amaze me – even in the few days I’ve spent with her. Alison defines PR rockstar and seems to outdo me when it comes to organization. We may be long-lost OCD sisters.
Stephanie – the HMA team chatterbox. Well ok, we all like to talk – it’s what we PR people do – and Stephanie is well on her way to joining the rockstar ranks.
Brittany – It’s usually those quiet ones you have to watch out for. But while we’re all chatting away, she’s at her desk working it.
Rachel – an intern to which others can aspire to be; she answers the phone like a champ and takes both notes and initiative.
Hats or no hats, I’m thrilled to be a part of the team here at HMA! Tune in to see what they may have to say about me in the coming weeks, months, and if I’m lucky enough to follow in Abbie’s footsteps, the coming years.
