Last week I once again had the privilege of attending the PRSA Western District Conference this year in Los Angeles! It was a wonderful learning experience, with many takeaways that I look forward to implementing here at HMA.
The first blog post that I am going to write about the conference actually is a “SHORT” video that comes from Lisa Caprelli, who along with Brian Gaps, presented a session on digital marketing “The internet is video centric. Is your marketing?”
While there was a lot of great information and some best tips and tricks, we had a lot of discussion around the appropriate length of a video. And actually in a separate session, with Dan Santy on content marketing, he asked us the question “What is the first thing you do before you view a video? Do you click see how long it is?” YES! If it is less than a minute I typically will take the time to watch it, but if it is more than a minute, I will “save” it for later (and by later that typically means never).
But really just how long should your videos be? Lisa recorded a “SHORT” video answering just that question!
What do you think is the best length for a video? Do you agree with Lisa that a video should be around 30 seconds?
