The viral video that had everyone talking about twerking turned out to be a hoax.  That doesn’t bother me as much as the fact that news outlets made it into a news story.  Clearly without checking whether it was factual.

Yes, YouTube has become part of our everyday culture, but as my friend Len Gutman asked earlier this week on Facebook, “Why do "legitimate" news channels continue to put YouTube videos on their newscasts?”

I wonder the same thing.  You?
