Last week, Scott and I got called into an issues management/crisis situation. You know, when the client calls on a Friday at 5 p.m. and says: “we need to meet you NOW.” So you drop everything and get to the office.
The kind of situation where you set up a communications command center in your conference room, conduct news conferences in your lobby, and think Red Vines and coffee are a good breakfast.
We’ve been involved in this type of stuff before, we know how to get it done. And you know why we can get it done? Because we have a great team.
Because our team will run to Office Max and the grocery store only to have to go right back out again because now we want coffee. Because our team took the initiative when the client needed to get something back to the corporate office to get the Fed-X package ready to send. Because we can call our monitoring service on a Saturday morning and have a full report of media coverage in a few hours. Because we can call our videographers and producers with an immediate need only to have to cancel it because the situation has changed. Because we can call our graphic designer to create and deliver banners…in 4 hours.
The type of team that sometimes is taken for granted because they’re always this good and you just come to expect it. And the type of team you want on your side, crisis or not.
So to all of you who got frantic emails, text messages, email messages and phone calls from us, we appreciate you and thank you for all you do so we can do what we do.
