Sponsored AdsDo you pay-to-play on social media? It seems like every outlet offers a sponsored “something” for brands. I see more and more sponsored ads on my Facebook feed than ever. The content blends right in, as we all know, but it’s based off of the user’s internet activity as well as targeted demographics. And, if I’ve learned anything in public relations it’s to know your audience, so I’m intrigued to know if it’s working for users.

Because of tailored boosted posts, I see content every day related to my preferences. I think it’s a great way for brands to get exposure to the right people.

As Facebook continues to tinker with its system and we understand it better – time will tell if pay-to-play on social media is beneficial.

But, you tell me - Have you ever boosted a Facebook post or paid for a sponsored tweet, and if so, how did it work out?
