Like new flowers in sprintime, Facebook has blossomed once again by rolling out new changes. This time, rather than mess with the design (at least, rather than messing with last month’s messing with the design) Facebook has introduced new rules and policies to help the user experience become more enjoyable by dialing back on everyone’s biggest Facebook pet peeves.
Some of the new changes include:
-Ban all duck-lipped photos: Photos of individuals with their lips pressed together in a weird, flat kissy face that resembles more of a duck bill than human lips will be marked for removal.
-Automatic check in from your phone’s GPS: Anytime you cross the threshold of a business, your phone will automatically check you into that business.
-Political posts: By posting any sort of one-sided political statement you agree to donate $10 to the opposing party listed on your profile.
-Fan incentives: Fans of Starbucks will automatically receive $5 gift card anytime a non-Starbucks fan “likes” a coffee-themed post from said fan.
- No more spam: Southwest Airlines has removed all “Share for Free Tickets” scams and will instead give a free plane to every 100th fan.
- Stay mysterious: Enabled anonymous replies in which a user can choose up to three friends that he or she can stay anonymous to when posting/commenting on their content.
-Lastly, anyone who reposts this April Fool’s Day blog will be entered to win free miniature pony, pictured here.
