I have been an active member of PRSA since I graduated college in 1986 (technically before that if you count my one year in PRSSA). I’ve been active in the association on a local, regional and national level. So when Stephanie Cegielski asked me to pen a blog post regarding a proposed bylaw amendment, I jumped at the chance.
The proposed amendment would allow the two at-large seats be opened up to qualified members who do not possess the APR credential. This has been something I’ve advocated for many years. I applaud the current leadership for listening to what the research and its many non-APR members have been saying over the years.
I strongly encourage this year’s assembly delegates to vote yes on this important amendment. You can read more about it here.
